This piece features Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation and Goddess of the Underworld. The shadow of the moon and inverted values portray her duality. When she goes down to live with her husband Hades in the Underworld, the earth experiences winter. When she returns and reunites with her mother months later, the earth explodes with flowers and vegetation.
