This 3-part  class series is designed to create a deeper understanding of the foundation upon which the meanings of the 78 tarot cards are built. Analysis of these esoteric underpinnings are explored with emphasis on those of the astrological and hermetic qabalah traditions. The formula for how to read the Majors, Pips, and Courts are given and a magnifying glass is lifted to each card so that its symbols can be more closely seen.

Class topics include discussions on the astrological decans, the signs and planets, and the elemental triplicities. From a qabbalistic perspective, students can look forward to discussion on the qabbalistic worlds, the 22 Hebrew letters, and even a brief overview of the 10 sephiroth of the tree of life. Through the combination of all this knowledge, the goal with this series is to leave students with the ability to utilize the formulas and symbols given to develop their own delienations for the cards including but not limited to divinations specific to magical practitioners of various traditions.

March 2nd, 2022 7pm - Class I - Major Meditations: The Astrological and Qabalistic Symbolism of the Major Arcana

• A look at the 22 hebrew letters and their paths along the qabalistic tree of life and how they fit into the Major Arcana cards
• How the signs and planets are distributed among the Majors
• How one can use this symbology when interpreting the cards in spellcraft

March 16th, 2022 7pm - Class II - Pondering the Pips: The Astrological and Qabalistic Symbolism of the Pips

• The foundational formula for reading pip cards
• A deep dive of the 4 qabbalistic worlds and their appropriate metaphors
• An exploration of the 10 spheres which make up the tree of life
• An overview of the astrological decans
• How one can use this symbology when interpreting the cards in spellcraft

March 30th, 2022 7pm - Class III - Counting Courts: The Astrological and Qabalistic Symbolism of the Courts and Aces

• The Qabbalistic Fairy Tale and the Tetragrammaton
• The overlapping wisdom of the Astrological decans and the Court cards
• The special relationship between the Princess and the Aces
• The relationship between the elementals, Kether, and the Aces

Presenter Bio

McCalla Ann is an occult based philosopher, researcher, and diviner based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. Besides reading cards, McCalla can be found teaching occult history and education with an emphasis on mysticism, Kabbalah, and philosophy through her multimedia project SaturnVox. McCalla hosts a podcast under the SaturnVox name, where other occult practitioners are interviewed and critical thinking questions about various occult topics are explored. When she isn’t crafting spells or burying her nose deep in a history book, she enjoys watching anime and playing video games with her cat, Storm.
