The Rose is a symbol of both purity and passion, the above and the below. Rose represents virginity and fertility as well as life and death. The rose is associated with the blood of Osiris, Adonis, and Christ and is the flower of Isis and Venus. In alchemy The Rose has a great deal of symbolism and has its very own mysteries. The union of opposites for the purpose of perfection, enlightenment and blooming true in the labyrinthine rose garden of the collective soul of the totality. This is the Magic of the heart, the mind, the passion behind all endeavor.
Burn in rituals focused on the heart, for meditation on the non dual, at the beginning and the end; for the transmutation of poison into medicine, and medicine into poison… for every rose has its thorn. Combine with a drop of blood from a rose thorn and the dry thorn itself to make things secret (sub rosa), or to reveal secrets in the twists and twirls of the smoke… just as a small example of the many many possibilities in working with this incense.
May be worked with as incense, in mojo bags, spellwork, to dress vigil candles or roll the outside of dressed taper candles.
Ingredients: Damascus Rose, Black Storax, & Rose Petals
The Rosarium Incense blend is packaged in a red square glass apothecary jar with a cork lid. Height 2″, Width 1 1/2″, and Length 1 1/2″. Capacity is 43 ml in size and holds approximately ½ -3/4 ounce of loose incense.
