San Vincente Retablo Patron of Vintners and Wine
As a boy he was arrested with his mentor, Bishop Valerius, in 300 AD by the Roman Governor of Spain. Valerius stammered. It was up to Vincente to argue their case. He was fearless and forthright in declaring his willingness to suffer for his faith. The governor was impressed and freed Valerius, but kept Vincente, inflicting torture on him. The faithful came and dipped cloth in Vincente's holy blood.
"Bless this wine. May it bring good health and happiness to those who drink it."
