Khepri's Nail Chain Necklace

$160.00Price

The scarab is a souvenir from the underworld. The ancient Egyptians observed the beetle rolling dung balls across the desert in the direction of the sun. The beetle plants the egg-filled dung balls into the Earth, and eventually hundreds more beetles arise from the ground. Because of this pattern, the scarab became an important symbol of resurrection and immortality to the Egyptians. Khepri was the horned beetle-headed god who held aloft the morning sun. The chain of this necklace is created from pewter castings of forged nails. The nails create a fierce-looking collar for the symbol of Khepri, but also represent work and willpower to remind you that transformation takes effort. This necklace is a reward for those who have undergone the challenge of their own resurrection. This necklace features pewter-cast forged nails, garnet cabochon, vintage brass stampings with antique-gold overlay, steel cable chain with antique-gold overlay and lobster clasp with adjuster. Length 17” with 2” extender, pendant 2.25”
