Hecate's wheel is an ancient Greek symbol described in the second century text, "The Chaldean Oracle", as a labyrinthine serpent (representing rebirth and renewal) surrounding a central Spiral.

Many modern witches associate Hecate with the concept of Maiden, Mother, and Crone: representing the 3 phases of the female life and she is often considered the goddess of witchcraft. Her archetype is an inspiring one, even for the secular witch.

Altar Peton measures approx .2 inch thick and 6" diameter, laser engraved, and hand finished. Each board is handmade and some variation in wood grain and color is to be expected.
