About the Event

The original and historic tools of cartomancy, playing cards, have a rich and mysterious history. Divining with playing cards had a deep and fascinating history long before the Tarot ever existed, and now you too can learn to read with them. Professor Porterfield will be teaching the ins and outs of using playing cards for divination and fortune telling, plus authentic old-time methods of keeping and caring for your cards. Learn how to see the present, the future and the past as Professor Porterfield teaches us how to read with everyday common playing cards. Join in on this captivating three-part class taken from his notable book, A Deck of Spells: Hoodoo Playing Card Magic in Rootwork and Conjure, as well as his own personal work and research into the fascinating field of cartomancy.
